Recap of Shawn Mendes’ Concert in Madrid

Hello, I’m back to give you a little recap of Shawn Mendes’ concert!

As part of his On the Road Again tour, Shawn performed in Madrid on August 26th. Join me in reliving a concert filled with emotions and positive vibes.

First of all, you should know that I hadn’t planned on attending the concert, since Shawn hadn’t announced any dates for Paris. By pure coincidence, I had booked a vacation in Madrid around those dates. I still waited until the very last minute to buy my ticket (there was no way I could miss this concert 😭).

When I arrived at the Movistar Arena, I realized there was actually a theme (and of course, I was totally off-theme 💀). The fanbases had told the fandom to come dressed in white with crowns. It was really cool to see everyone making the effort!

At exactly 9 PM, the show began. A handheld camera was following Shawn backstage, capturing his entrance on stage. The moment he appeared, the arena went wild! Everyone screamed, and he gave that little charming smirk of his. Then the first notes of There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back hit, and that was it—the concert was officially on!

He went on to perform his biggest hits, like In My Blood, Stitches, and Señorita. Throughout the concert, I looked around and saw that everyone was on their feet—even up in the stands. Fans were going through every emotion: tears, laughter, screams… It was clear how much this show meant to them.

After 90 minutes of music and even hugs (yes, Shawn came down into the pit several times to hug fans 💞), it was finally time for him to take his bow.

As the lights came back on, I noticed people hugging all around the arena. You could feel that sense of satisfaction and joy in the air.

I really hope he comes back to France soon, because his French fans are more than ready to see him on stage again.
